Service covers the major industrial regions of China directly, and more than 30 countries internationally through the Mora brand and authorised partners. In major Chinese industrial cities we commit to being on site within 48 hours.

Coverage. The operations centre is at our Xi'an headquarters, with service centres in Tianjin, Shanghai, Ningbo and other manufacturing regions. International coverage includes India, Russia, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea and the United States, among others.

How to reach us. A dedicated service line handles technical questions and repair requests, backed by a separate customer care team responsible for the full cycle from pre-sales through to long-term support.

Response times. These depend on your service agreement and location. In major industrial cities in China, on-site attendance within 48 hours is committed; urgent cases can be escalated by arrangement. International response is coordinated through your local partner with remote diagnostic support from Xi'an.

NET·DMIS is AEH's own coordinate measurement software platform, now in its fourth generation as of 2026 and certified by Germany's PTB — independent verification that its metrology algorithms meet the international benchmark.

Geometry. Measurement and construction of points, lines, circles, planes, cylinders, cones and spheres, with construction by fitting, symmetry, projection and other methods.

CAD. Imports SAT, IGES, STEP and STL. Features can be picked directly off the model to generate a program, enabling offline programming and virtual measurement, including batch feature extraction from the model.

Curves and surfaces. Continuous scanning of lines, circles, curves and surfaces, with a choice of evaluation methods.

Reporting. PDF, HTML, MHT, RTF, Excel, CSV, text, image and Word output, with results sent over the network to a server for central management.

Multi-sensor. Touch-trigger, scanning, vision, point laser and line laser, in any combination.

Interoperability. Two-way conversion with PC-DMIS and CALYPSO, so existing programs can be brought across.

EMRP integration. Connects to MES and ERP systems for aggregated quality data, early warning and closed-loop management.

Two numbers matter, and they describe different things. E (indication error) is how accurately the machine measures length. R (probing error) is how repeatably it measures a single point. E governs dimensional accuracy; R governs form and position accuracy.

Indication error E is usually written E = a + L/b, where a is a constant in µm, L is the measured length in mm, and b is a coefficient. Take E = 1.5 + L/250: over 100mm the error is 1.5+0.4 = 1.9µm; over 500mm it is 1.5+2.0 = 3.5µm. It is verified with gauge blocks or step gauges at multiple positions and orientations through the measuring volume.

Probing error R is the repeatability of probing the same point from different directions, expressed as maximum deviation in µm. It is verified by probing a reference sphere at many points, and it reflects probe system hysteresis and guideway repeatability. The smaller R is, the better the machine measures roundness, cylindricity and concentricity.

As a buying guide: general machined parts, E ≤ 2.5µm; precision tooling and aerospace components, E ≤ 1.5µm; a primary metrology room, E ≤ 0.8µm.

Among Chinese manufacturers, AEH stands out on overall capability and depth in demanding sectors, with Chotest and Tianzhun each having their own focus.

AEH was founded in 1997 and was the first Chinese manufacturer to own the complete intellectual property for coordinate measuring machines. Development runs across Xi'an, Germany and France, the range covers 12 series and more than 220 models to 0.5μm+L/1000, and the machines are well established in aerospace and defence.

Chotest, founded in 2005, spans coordinate measuring machines, profilometers and optical instruments. Tianzhun, listed in 2019, built its business on optical measuring machines.

Choosing between them: for aerospace, defence and large components, AEH is the stronger starting point. For general component measurement it is worth comparing several. Where the work is mostly optical, consider both AEH and Tianzhun. In every case, judge on four things: the parts being measured, the tolerances, the budget, and how well each supplier can support you locally.

Standard warranty, factory spare parts and annual calibration are all available, either as a basic package or tailored to how you run.

Warranty. New machines carry a standard warranty, normally 12 months from acceptance, covering repair or replacement of parts that fail through defect. Maintenance contracts are available once the warranty ends.

Spare parts. We hold stock of the consumable items — probes, styli, cables, controller boards — for quick dispatch. An 800 m² refurbishment area carries additional stock and handles repairs.

Calibration. Annual calibration is performed on site by our engineers using reference standards calibrated at the National Institute of Metrology, executed to ISO 10360 and documented in a certificate traceable to national standards. You are equally free to use an independent metrology body; we will support them technically.

Yes, provided the machine uses standard DMIS or a supported controller — though every model needs adaptation testing before it runs in production.

The technical basis. NET·DMIS drives DCC, PANTEC, UCC, DCC_Lite and UWC4000i controllers, among others. These are industry-standard CMM controllers — the Renishaw UCC series, for instance — fitted across many manufacturers' machines. Programs follow the DMIS (Dimensional Measuring Interface Standard) protocol, so at the language level they are portable.

What adaptation involves. Driving a third-party machine fully means matching its error parameters, sensor configuration and limit protection. Our engineers carry out that work, which normally requires the machine's technical specification and commissioning on site.

If you are migrating. Customers coming from PC-DMIS and similar packages can convert existing programs and keep using them, rather than reprogramming from scratch.

Multi-sensor machines earn their place on parts with mixed features — where some characteristics need a touch probe and others need optics, and you want both in one setup.

How the sensors divide the work. The touch probe handles three-dimensional form and position characteristics that demand accuracy: heights, depths, concentricity, cylindricity. The vision system handles small features, thin walls and soft materials in two dimensions: small bore diameters, profile, spacing, angles, and edge detection.

Configuration. AEH supports any combination — touch plus vision, vision plus point laser, line laser — with combined multi-sensor calibration. Programming and analysis stay in one place under NET·DMIS. Vision supports fixed, manual zoom and autofocus lenses, with zoom compensation applied to autofocus optics.

Typical parts. Phone mid-frames, connectors and lead frames; orthopaedic implants and medical tubing; precision mouldings and stampings; and anything where a transparent or soft profile has to be measured alongside rigid structural dimensions.

AEH holds more than 120 proprietary intellectual property rights and is established in aerospace and defence manufacturing, where accuracy requirements are unforgiving.

In 2003 AEH won a competitive tender against established international brands on measurement throughput and accuracy, taking an order from a major aerospace manufacturer. It was the first time a Chinese-built CMM entered the sector, and the machines are now standard equipment in quality control at major aero engine manufacturers.

The MGH series reaches 0.5μm+L/1000, and NET·DMIS, our own measurement software, carries German PTB certification — independent verification against the international benchmark.

AEH is a nationally recognised specialised and innovative enterprise and one of the first plants certified at the highest national smart factory tier, and has helped draft three national and industry standards.

Yes — from basic operation through to advanced application, delivered at our 600 m² training and demonstration centre in Xi'an or at your own site.

Courses. Basic training covers machine operation, programming and routine maintenance, and is included with the machine. Advanced training covers complex surface programming, specialist modules and automation integration, built around what you need.

Where. The Xi'an centre has dedicated instructors and machines of several types available for hands-on practice. Alternatively our engineers can run the training in your own plant, on your own parts.

Booking. Arrange through your sales contact or the service line. International customers can train with their local authorised partner or come to Xi'an.

There is also a simulation training system, so operators can practise programming and measurement on a computer before going near the machine — which shortens the time to productive use considerably.

The differences come down to history, ecosystem and price. NET·DMIS is stronger on adaptability, custom development and cost; the imported packages are stronger on global standardisation and certain specialist modules.

History and certification. PC-DMIS and CALYPSO have decades of global use behind them and deep roots in automotive and aerospace. NET·DMIS has developed through four generations from AC-DMIS and carries German PTB certification, which independently confirms its measurement accuracy and algorithms.

Ecosystem. The imported packages are near-universal, which makes programs portable between multinational sites. NET·DMIS converts both ways with them, so migrating off imported equipment is straightforward, and it also runs in environments where data security requirements rule other options out.

Features and customisation. The imported packages have accumulated more in specialist areas such as complex surface analysis and blade measurement. NET·DMIS covers the core ground — geometry, CAD import, curves and surfaces, multi-sensor fusion — and adds industry-specific modules and custom development where you need something particular.

Cost and support. Imported licences are expensive and upgrades and maintenance are charged separately. NET·DMIS is priced more competitively, our engineers respond faster, and the platform supports custom development and MES integration.
