The 11th CMES Shanghai International Machine Tool Show ran from 23 to 26 March at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Hongqiao, Shanghai. More than 1,000 leading brands filled 70,000 square metres, giving manufacturers and their suppliers one place to trade, open markets and show what they build. The show concentrated on electric vehicles, consumer electronics manufacturing, aerospace and general machinery, with AI and automation, multi-axis and multi-process machining, and flexible production lines as the running themes. Every one of those raises the bar for measurement, pushing it from single-point inspection toward a closed loop on data.
