Optical Measuring Machines

On thin-wall, compliant or finish-critical parts, a stylus deforms or marks the surface and the reading stops being trustworthy. An optical measuring machine extracts the profile through magnification and edge detection, measuring 2D dimensions, angles and position without contact, with autofocus adding height information. Typical work includes precision stampings, mouldings, connectors, cutting-edge geometry, films and flexible circuits.
