The 27th ITES Shenzhen Industrial Exhibition, held with the High-End Equipment Industry Cluster Show, closed on 3 April at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Bao'an. Xi'an AEH Industrial Metrology, a nationally recognised specialised and innovative enterprise, exhibited its Brand Strategy 2.0 under the theme of precision opening what comes next, presenting four days of capability from precision hardware to intelligent software, and from individual instruments to complete systems.
During the show, AEH founder, chairman and general manager Dr Song Jianzhong was invited to the 2026 Industrial Intelligence Conference to deliver a keynote, The Fourth-Generation Measuring Machine: A New Era of Intelligent Measurement, tracing how coordinate measurement technology has developed and where it goes next.
Where precision meets intelligence
ITES Shenzhen ran under the theme of industry converging on intelligent manufacturing, built around three shows: high-end equipment, robotics and automation, and precision components. In the high-end equipment hall, AEH exhibited alongside Hexagon and Zeiss, among nanometre-scale surface inspection and metrology CT — a good illustration of measurement moving from quality gatekeeping to creating value. AEH focused on embodied intelligence, combining precision measurement with intelligent perception and automated decision-making to move equipment from passive inspection toward active sensing and response.
Precision opens what comes next
At a show drawing the strongest technology in the field, AEH set out what Brand Strategy 2.0 actually means: moving closer to the customer's process, and building technology around the people who use it.
Brand Strategy 2.0 in depth
Competition in manufacturing has moved past contests between product specifications toward delivering certain outcomes. AEH read that shift and changed its role accordingly, from supplying standardised tools to supplying results and assurance that can be tailored. The company is positioned around the people who use its technology, and that runs in two directions: internally, backing our own engineers and their craftsmanship; externally, making sure the technology serves the customer's decisions and growth. AEH's stand was built visually around precision, with live demonstrations and application scenarios letting visitors see how precision hardware and intelligent software work together. Buyers from aerospace, automotive and semiconductor manufacturing stopped to talk throughout.
Dr Song Jianzhong's ITES keynote
The Fourth-Generation Measuring Machine: A New Era of Intelligent Measurement
During the exhibition, AEH founder, chairman and general manager Dr Song Jianzhong delivered his keynote at the 2026 Industrial Intelligence Conference.
Dr Song is a defining figure in coordinate measurement. He graduated in precision instruments from Xi'an University of Technology in 1982, then studied at TU Dresden in Germany under Prof. W. Lotze, one of the world's leading authorities on coordinate measurement, where he mastered the core technology. He returned to China in 1997 and founded Xi'an AEH Industrial Metrology, beginning the industrial production of high-accuracy coordinate measuring machines. He has been named an outstanding entrepreneur by the Xi'an High-Tech Zone across three decades, and a model worker for both Shaanxi Province and the city of Xi'an.
In his keynote, Dr Song traced coordinate measurement from the first generation of manual machines through to the fourth generation of intelligent ones, and set out five problems the industry still has: programming that demands too much skill and time while quality remains hard to guarantee; workholding and alignment that cost more than they should; no common data standard, so equipment from different manufacturers cannot exchange results; long dependence on imported high-end equipment, with the supply chain risk that carries; and conventional measurement that does not fit intelligent manufacturing or newer processes.
Against those problems, Dr Song set out a fourth-generation approach combining hardware, software and data, using aerospace blades and electric vehicle components to show what intelligent measurement delivers in practice: better throughput, lower cost, and a genuine closed loop on quality.
The response was strong, with engineers from aerospace, automotive and semiconductor manufacturing staying afterwards to discuss fourth-generation measurement and how to put it to work.
Four days at ITES Shenzhen amounted to a public test of AEH's Brand Strategy 2.0, and an important marker in moving closer to our customers' processes. For twenty-nine years AEH has worked to advance the core technologies of precision measurement.
